Facebook's 'Things in Common' Feature is Meant to Increase Your Online Friends

Facebook is reportedly testing a new feature that will help its users befriend strangers with mutual interests. Co-ordinate to CNET, the feature, called "things in mutual", will give users the option of connecting with other Facebook users who are not a office of their friend list, but share some common interests.

The social networking giant reportedly plans to attain this past showing users the things that they take in mutual with other Facebook users when they scroll through the comments section on public posts. The label may also indicate out when users are role of the same Facebook Group or work at the same company, simply aren't friends on Facebook.

"Knowing shared things in mutual helps people connect. We're testing adding a 'things in mutual' characterization that will appear in a higher place comments from people who you're non friends with but y'all might have something in mutual with", a Facebook spokesperson reportedly said in a statement.

The examination is simply limited to the United states for now, and that likewise, just for a small group of people, so information technology will be interesting to see if information technology will be available to a wider user-base at some stage going forward. The company, however, is playing its cards close to its breast at the moment, and refused to divulge if it will be rolled out globally in the future.
